Getting Started

This page is a guide to help you get started with the Suitelink application. It will guide you through the process of setting up your property.

When you register for an account (or someone sets you up as an administrator) you are assigned a password. Your email address and password are required to access the site. You can change your email address, password and defaults for your account in your user profile. Your profile can be accessed through the properties page.

First off, define your property name. A property is simply a collection of suites or buildings that you manage. Once you have added your property name, you can select it by clicking on the name, or edit it by clicking on edit. Once you have defined and selected your property, it's time to add suites. The suite is the primary method of defining and linking things together for your property. Suites are the units that are managed for a property. A suite could be a unit, house, apartment, store or whatever it is that you are managing. People and assets are linked to suites.

Suites can be grouped together for communication purposes. Groups are typically used for buildings, floors or common interest groupings. Messages can be sent to groups. Group messages are typically used for notifications of power outages, elevators undergoing service, moves in progress etc.

Contacts are people who you connect with. Contacts may be associated with suites (as if they are tennants). Sending a message to a suite will send that message to all the contacts associated with that suite. Contacts may also be service providers (contractors) that provide a skill or perform a task.

Assets are items that can be linked to suites. These could be lockers, parking stalls, vehicles, fire extinguishers, family pets, access FOBs etc.

When initially creating a property, we recomment the following steps:
(1) Create the property
(2) Create the suites
(3) Add contacts (tennants) and link them to suites. Put emergency contact information in the notes section.
(4) Add assets (like parking stalls and vehicles) and link them to suites.
(5) If contacts have pets, add them as assets and link them to suites.
(6) Send contacts a welcome text and email
(7) Set up an invoice for monthly payments
(8) Set up an invoice template to automatically generate an invoice every month on autopilot.
